Jack Ma Alibaba Founder in Kathmandu Nepal

Jack Ma, Chinese tycoon, the founder of Alibaba Group Holding Limited, has come to Nepal on a 15-day visit with a seven-member delegation. He arrived in Nepal on Tuesday in a group of five Chinese citizens, one Danish citizen and one American citizen.

According to Khimraj Bhusal, Information Officer of the Immigration Department, his group arrived in Kathmandu via Bangladesh by chartering a Hong Kong Business Aviation ship.

From Tribhuvan International Airport, they directly went to Marriott Hotel in Naxal, Kathmandu. Information officer Bhusal said that all seven people, including Jack Ma, had taken a 15-day tourist visa.

Prime Minister’s Press Adviser Govind Acharya informed that Jack Ma, the head of the world-famous company Alibaba, is also scheduled to meet Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda”.

At a time when Nepal is making maximum efforts to bring in international investment, the Prime Minister is scheduled to meet with the head of Alibaba, who is in Nepal, but the time is not fixed, he informed. He informed that the Prime Minister will ask to invest in Nepal.

Alibaba has an investment in Daraz, an online business company operating in Nepal. Alibaba, a Chinese e-commerce company, is providing consumer-to-consumer, business-to-business services through a web portal.

Alibaba is providing electronic payment services, search engines related to buying and selling and cloud computing services.
